MaryAnne Loiacono | Wellbeing Services Director

I have worked previously as a Family support and Youth worker. This involved giving emotional and practical help and advice to parents on dealing with difficult behaviour and supporting children to learn through play and also supporting young people identify their potential and help them in their personal and social development. I have also worked with primary school children and my role involved managing and providing a caring and stimulating environment to give them added confidence prior to moving onto secondary school.

I am able to adapt my skills appropriately to deal with a range of other issues that young people present and which may affect them at difficult times in their lives.

I am a qualified Youth and Community worker and gained my BA (Hons) in Childhood and Youth Studies.

My strengths lie in my planning and problem solving abilities and use these techniques to guide and help children that may present with a range of diverse issues. I am able to adapt my skills appropriately to deal with a range of other issues that young people present and which may affect them at difficult times in their lives.

I am also a mother to two children.
