Wellbeing Advisor will provide 121 practical mental health and wellbeing support to around 90 students within the schools and colleges in these boroughs.
The aim of the service is to improve students' psychological wellbeing by building resilience, promoting positive practices, adaptive coping skills and raising awareness of how to get help if their mental health deteriorates. Per CAMHS service tiers, this is an early intervention (tier 1), rather than counselling (tier 2). The role may also involve designing and delivering workshops and training for students and staff at the college to raise awareness of and tackle the stigma associated with mental health.
